A Brief History of Haas Signs

Fred Haas Fred Haas, a resident of Miami County, started Fred's Sign Service, working from the garage behind his home in Tipp City, Ohio. He started lettering signs as a sideline while he set type and ran the presses for the newspapers in Tipp City and Troy in the late Fifties. Fred founded the company when he purchased Valley Sign Service in 1960. Two years later, the business was moved to its present location at 3055 South County Road 25-A in Troy, Ohio.

Bruce Haas

Fred's Sign Service was officially incorporated in 1985 when Bruce Haas, Fred's son, took over ownership and daily operation of the business. His sister Kathy Hutson also took on responsiblities as office manager for the company. This change continued the family tradition of quality sign work for its loyal clientele throughout the Miami Valley.

Bruce aquired Sign Smith, out of New Carlisle, in 2006. This brought in more electrical experience and also added the Springfield Area to our list of clients.

With the purchase of Sign Smith, and the continuation of Fred's Sign Service, Inc., in 2009 Freddie Haas II, Bruce's son and Fred's grandson, started a rebranding to the name Haas Signs. With the purchase of Digital Printing equipment we have expanded our product line and have increased our services to include partial to full vehicle wraps. With knowledge from years of experience we are still serving our clients throughout the Miami Valley.

...Continuing the tradition of quality signs!!!
